Materials and construction

Birch and plywood frame with legs in birch finished matte black. The black legs against sand upholstery are the design decision that makes this chair work — without the contrast it would be bland, and with it the silhouette reads as deliberate.

Filling is polyurethane foam at 26kg/m³ in the seat and 20kg/m³ in the back. The backrest sits at a slight recline, which is why an armless chair with a fairly upright look turns out to be comfortable for longer than you would expect. Assembly is required.
