A soft-sided bedside table rather than a hard one. The Lina is wrapped in teddy fabric — the dense, curly-pile material used on winter coats and cushions — over an MDF frame, and stands on tapered wooden legs. The top lifts to reveal a storage compartment, so the whole body of the piece is usable space rather than a box with a drawer in it.

In white it reads as a soft furnishing more than a cabinet, which is the point. Beside a bed it looks closer to an upholstered stool or ottoman, and it softens a room in a way that board furniture cannot.

A lower bedside height

At 45cm the Lina sits lower than a conventional bedside cabinet. A standard UK divan with mattress lands between 55cm and 65cm from the floor, so this will usually sit below mattress level rather than alongside it.

That suits some beds and not others. On a low platform or Japanese-style frame it works well. On a deep divan you will be reaching down rather than across, so measure floor to the top of your mattress before ordering and decide whether that matters to you.

Living with fabric furniture

Teddy fabric has a raised pile, which means it holds dust more readily than a wipe-clean surface and benefits from an occasional going-over with a soft brush or an upholstery vacuum attachment. In exchange it stays warm to the touch and never shows the scuffs and edge chips that board furniture picks up.

Where it works

White upholstery is the most flexible option in this range and the easiest to place in a small or north-facing bedroom, where a dark piece would close the space down. It sits comfortably in soft-minimal, Scandinavian and modern romantic schemes, and pairs well with linen bedding, cream walls and pale wood.

It is not exclusively a bedroom piece — the proportions and the hidden storage make it useful in a nursery, a dressing area, or beside an armchair in a living room.
