Floor Lamps

A floor lamp fills the gap between overhead lighting and table lamps - useful where there is no surface to stand a lamp on, and essential in the corner of a room that always feels dark.

Our range covers several distinct shapes. The antique bronze mushroom lamps, available in medium and large, throw a soft downward pool of light suited to reading corners. The black and nickel large tripod is a heavier statement piece for larger living rooms. Slimmer designs in duck egg blue and gold work where floor space is tight, and the gold metal crown lamps are sold in pairs for symmetrical arrangements.

Placing a floor lamp

Beside an armchair, position the lamp slightly behind and to one side so the light falls over your shoulder onto the page. In a corner, a taller lamp bounces light off two walls and lifts the whole room. Check the base diameter against your available floor space, particularly with tripod designs which need more room than they appear to.
