At 51.5cm wide it is a proper cabinet rather than a slim table, but the 12cm raised legs keep it from looking heavy and mean a robot vacuum passes straight underneath.

Getting the height right
A standard UK divan or bed frame with mattress sits between 55cm and 65cm from the floor. At 57.6cm this cabinet lands comfortably inside that range — level with or just below most mattresses, which is where a bedside surface works best.
Measure floor to the top of your mattress, not the bed frame. Also check you have at least 55cm of clear width beside the bed before ordering, since this is wider than a slim bedside table.
Which shelf holds what
The internal heights are worth reading rather than skipping. The 42cm enclosed compartment takes tall items upright — a stack of folded clothing, a shoebox, larger books. The 19cm upper shelf suits paperbacks, a small speaker, or a folded pair of glasses. The 21cm lower shelf takes hardbacks and magazines standing up.
Materials and construction
Built from 18mm E1-standard board sourced from FSC-certified supply. Eighteen millimetres is a meaningfully heavier gauge than the 15mm or 16mm used across much budget flat-pack furniture, and it shows in how the carcass holds square and how well the fixings bite. Every edge carries PVC edge banding.
Hardware is metal rather than plastic — handle, hinges and connecting fittings. Ships flat-packed with the assembly diagram and screw set in the box.
