Bar Stools

Bar stools sit at the busiest point in most homes. A kitchen island is where people eat breakfast, work, and end up standing around at parties - so the seating needs to look good and survive daily use.

Choosing the right height

Measure from the floor to the underside of your worktop. Standard kitchen counters at 90cm suit stools with a seat height around 65cm; taller bars at 105-110cm need roughly 75cm. Allow around 15-30cm of clearance between the seat and the worktop for comfortable legroom.
