Plywood frame with polyurethane foam. The seat runs at 28kg/m³ and the backrest at 22kg/m³ — firm where your weight sits, softer where you lean. On a deep rounded chair that split is what separates a comfortable sit from a collapse.

Chenille suits a strong colour better than almost any other upholstery. The raised pile breaks the surface into lighter and deeper tones as light moves across it, so a saturated red gains depth instead of reading as a flat slab. Assembly is required; at 23kg, position it first.

How to style it
